I have been receiving reports of not wearing a mask while driving for Uber, despite the fact that I do wear one. I use a mask that measures 8 by 6 inches with an elastic band to hold it in place, but riders seem to have complaints about it. I have tried different approaches, like keeping the mask on always or adjusting it during the ride when communication becomes difficult due to muffled voice or restricted breathing. I maintain a clean car with amenities like water, candies, tissues, and hand sanitizer for the riders. I always inform riders about my arrival through calls or texts. It's a challenging time for everyone, and people may not always express their true feelings due to external pressures. I am requesting a chance to either try a different mask or avoid showing my face during pick-ups to address the ongoing issue. Despite previous interactions with Uber support, like speaking with Estefan and Catherine, I encountered a call drop while being transferred to another department for clarification. Yesterday, when I was heading to a doctor's appointment, I encountered an issue with my UBER app. Instead of the usual "Where to?" screen, it kept showing a "getting started" screen. This caused me to be late for my appointment as I had to resort to calling a cab. I spent a significant amount of time trying to fix the app glitch by reinstalling it from the cloud, but all my efforts were in vain. Even after contacting support, I received an unhelpful response. Frustrated with the lack of progress, I have decided to switch to LYFT.

Hello, I have encountered a problem twice, in very similar circumstances. When I receive a new delivery request while still in the process of another delivery, and I am currently picking up the order from the restaurant, I lose access to the delivery address of the current recipient as it becomes greyed out. I try to check the daily delivery summary to retrieve the address if I mistakenly confirmed it, but I cannot find it. This situation causes me great stress, and I would like to know how to recover the address in order to complete the current delivery before moving on to another one. In both cases, the merchant's and recipient's addresses were very close to each other, so there was indeed relevance. My question is: How can I retrieve a recipient's address during a delivery in progress that no longer appears on the screen, and how can I regain control when the drop-off point is greyed out? Hello, My name is Shreelekha. I am sending this email filled with frustration and disappointment regarding the lack of competency shown by Uber India. Despite being a loyal Uber customer, I have faced numerous issues with the service in the past, but today, my patience has run out. At 11 at night, I am extremely anxious and upset after waiting for over 30 minutes with no driver accepting my ride request, even though there are cabs visible nearby. This situation has put my sister's and my safety at risk, and it is unacceptable. It is concerning that Uber lacks a call support line, especially when people's safety could be compromised. I am incredibly disappointed and will no longer be using Uber, even if it means finding alternative modes of transportation. Uber must implement significant changes in the way they recruit and train their drivers. This standard of service is not fitting for a global brand in the transportation industry.

I have been experiencing difficulties getting an Uber ride to assist me with my grocery shopping. Despite offering to pay for additional wait time, I have been unsuccessful as drivers have not been willing to wait even 2 or 3 additional minutes for me to collect my groceries. This has left me stranded multiple times, requiring me to seek alternative transportation options. I am 92 years old and simply need a driver who is willing to wait a few extra minutes to help me pick up my groceries and return home, without the need to bring the items inside my house. This service is essential for elderly individuals like myself who rely on online grocery ordering. I hope Uber can consider accommodating this request to support seniors in their shopping needs. On September 14, [redacted], I scheduled a cab to take me to UCL Hospital, but there was a misunderstanding with the driver who thought I needed to go to UCL Muswell Hill. After the confusion, I requested to cancel the cab, which I was unaware would incur a £10 charge. I kindly request a refund of £10. Dear Sir, I want to bring to your attention an issue I faced with a recent Uber auto ride. On 12.09.[redacted] at approximately 6.50 p.m., I booked a trip from 30-C Adarsh Mohalla, Awadhpuri, Patparganj, Delhi to Vikas Marg, Veer Savarkar Block, Shakarpur Khas, Delhi - [redacted] [redacted]. The fare displayed on the app was Rs. 38/- during booking. However, upon reaching my destination in Shakarpur, the app asked me to pay Rs. 88/-, including an additional Rs. 49/- from a previous trip that had already been paid using Google Pay. After paying the Rs. 88/- through Google Pay again, I noticed that the app still showed an outstanding amount of Rs. 88/- in red, preventing me from booking another ride. Despite multiple messages through the app, I have not received a resolution. I urge you to refund the extra Rs. 50/- at the earliest and rectify the payment status on my app to avoid further inconvenience. Thank you, Ramesh Kumar

I experienced a driver canceling on me for not wearing a mask, although I was wearing one as required. The driver claimed I wasn't, but I had a proper two-layer cloth mask on, covering my nose and mouth securely. After some confusion with the driver's location, the ride was canceled. I received an email suggesting I reach out if the cancellation was unjust due to the mask policy, yet I couldn't find a way to contact Uber about this issue on their website. I am having trouble updating my correct phone number on my account. Despite changing my password, the site won't let me make the necessary changes. I've attempted to contact customer service, but have been unsuccessful in reaching a live agent. This level of service is disappointing, especially since I have a coupon to redeem but can't access my account. I was in the process of ordering pizza through Uber Eats. Everything was going smoothly until I tried to apply my promo code and got an error about my phone number not being valid. As I was trying to resolve this issue, my promo code disappeared and I couldn't apply it again. It's been 3 hours now without any help, and I'm frustrated by the lack of customer service when immediate assistance is needed. I am hungry and disappointed with the experience. I am having trouble getting in touch with them as they made a significant error. I initially paid for a service, but there were mistakes in the transaction. Instead of correcting the problem as requested, they automatically issued a refund without my consent. I needed them to address the issue, not refund me. The store owner claimed not to have seen my specific instructions. Consequently, the tip I gave to the driver was returned along with the refund, causing frustration. I intended to support the economy, not cheat anyone. When reaching out, I was directed to email after calling, but the email was not monitored. The app, which was the source of the problem, did not offer a solution that they claim to have. This lack of support feels unjust, especially from a well-known company that prides itself on being accessible to everyone. It seems inequitable to charge for a service, not deliver, retain the service fee, and only cater to those who can afford it.

I use Uber for my daily rides. Today, I booked a ride for Rs 32. After 2 minutes into the ride, the driver asked for my payment method. I mentioned it was online, but he canceled the ride and requested cash payment upon arrival. At that point, the app already showed that I owed Rs 18. Upon reaching my destination, the driver asked for the full amount of Rs 32 in cash. I ended up paying Rs 32 in cash to the driver and Rs 18 through PhonePe on the app. I urge Uber to take action against this driver as I rely on your service daily and do not wish to encounter such issues, especially when heading to the office in the morning. Additionally, I request a refund of the extra Rs 18 I paid via PhonePe.

I made a booking for an Uber ride at 7:30 AM on October 28, [redacted], from New Delhi Railway Station to Mehrauli, South Delhi. Once inside the car, the driver requested to cancel the trip due to a dead phone battery and a broken charger. He then asked for the cash equivalent of the fare displayed on the Uber app as we were in a rush to reach the office by 10 AM. We agreed, cancelled the ride at 7:40 AM, and paid him in cash. After reaching our destination, we realized we had left our Samsung A50 mobile phone in the car. Despite trying to call the driver multiple times with no response, he eventually answered through the Uber app, speaking of picking up local customers to Gurgaon for an improbable rate and claiming ignorance about our missing phone. It is disappointing and unprofessional, as it appears he may have taken the phone and is now providing misleading information. If my phone is not returned, I will take this matter further through all available channels.

I recently bought a $30 Uber gift card on the 27th of this month. On the same day, I took a trip that cost about six dollars, but my Uber Wallet balance is only around $10. The math doesn't seem right. I suspect the issue might be related to my last Uber trip before purchasing the gift card. That trip was approximately $12-$14, but now I see a charge of about $30, which seems off. I noticed three surcharges as well. I bought a $30 Uber gift card on the 27th and took a trip costing around $6 the same day. However, my Uber wallet balance shows only about $10. It seems money is missing, and I suspect it's related to the trip I took before purchasing the gift card. The charge I'm seeing appears to be double what my fare was, and I'm quite upset. My son and I are now stuck without transportation to an important commitment because I expected my Uber wallet to have over $20, not just $10. I was told that I was not wearing a face mask, which was briefly the case, but only for the following reason: Otherwise, I would like to comment on this trip and one before. The driver took a wrong route where I had to pay 2 euros more for this trip. Before that, I took a trip where I had to pay 25 euros more because the driver was on the phone and missed the exit three times. Therefore, I would like to suggest that you review your driver training or your navigation system. In theory, I could ask you for an additional 2 euros for extra costs because the driver took a wrong route. Can I also complain about this? Will the drivers be suspended for a second violation?

I created an Uber account with phone number [redacted] and email [redacted] I completed the setup with my credit card information and was supposed to receive a free week of rides. When I tried to use this offer the next day, it had disappeared. I then created another account with the same phone number and new email [redacted], once again expecting the one week free promotion. However, the offer disappeared again when I checked the next day. Now, I urgently need a ride using the newrider15 promo code, which gives a discount, but I am being told my email and phone number are already in use, preventing me from applying the code. I have noticed several pending charges on my account for rides that I did not take. There are new charges pending, one for $8.84 each, and another for $11.08. The $11.08 charge was for an Uber driver who did not allow me to retrieve my mask from just inside the front door. Despite being ready and present, he refused to wait. Since no Uber cars were available, these charges are incorrect as the rides did not occur. I request a refund for these unauthorized charges. Please return the funds to my account promptly.
