Last Wednesday, September 30, [redacted], my spouse was driving it to an appointment an hour away from our residence when the engine malfunctioned, leading to significant damage and requiring a motor replacement. Thankfully, no accident occurred despite the busy road. The vehicle was taken to Barry's Chevrolet in West Union, Ohio, where they quoted an estimated cost of $7,[redacted].11 to replace the motor, with GM agreeing to cover half. Due to our low mileage due to my health issues in [redacted], I believe we should not be responsible for any costs. The Traverse has been sparingly used and well-maintained, serving mainly as a vacation vehicle. Previously, we had a [redacted] Traverse with similar low mileage. Maintenance, including oil changes and tire rotations, has been consistently performed by the dealership.

My lease on my [redacted] Silverado is ending on February 19, [redacted]. I had a deal arranged at my local Chevy dealer for a new [redacted] Silverado, but GM Financial turned it down. Despite reaching out to GM Financial and GM Leasing, I received no assistance. GM Financial mentioned they are in the business of making money, not charity. I'm not seeking charity, just a bit of help. Being 67 years old with degenerative arthritis, diabetes, and retired, finances are tight for me. This deal would have reduced my monthly payments, helped the dealer clear inventory, pleased GM, and relieved my financial burden. I am not looking for a handout, just some assistance. I wasn't satisfied with how Financial and Leasing dealt with me. Any support you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The allocation of highway funds to Tennessee, benefiting McConnell's wife, is troubling. Why not consider West Virginia for the plant's relocation? West Virginia’s right-to-work status and potential incentives from the governor make it a viable option with its strategic location and strong workforce in places like Morgantown, a town with the necessary infrastructure and resources to support GM’s future endeavors. I have a [redacted] GMC Sierra [redacted] SLT that has been at Heyward Allen Toyota/GMC Buick Collision Center since 9-8-[redacted]. On 10-1-20, they found the replacement exhaust system was damaged and needed to be reordered. Despite being told three times, the latest on 10-20-20, that the part is unavailable from GMC with no estimated arrival, creating delays. I urge GMC to provide replacement parts promptly. The vehicle has been at the center for 45 days as of 10-21-20, far exceeding the initial 12-day repair estimate. I kindly request GMC's assistance in expediting the procurement of the replacement part. Thank you.

I bought a used [redacted] Yukon Denali XL for my wife, which was "certified." Although it had many problems from the start, I have addressed most of them. The main concern now is the front struts leaking and affecting the ride quality. Despite taking it back to the dealership under the "certified warranty," they couldn't find the issue after holding onto it for over a week. The ride has worsened, becoming choppy due to the leaking struts. The dealership states it's out of the bumper-to-bumper warranty even though they looked at it during the warranty period for the same issue. They quoted over $[redacted] for each strut to fix the problem. I have been waiting for General Motors Communications to email me my start date, but received an email today stating they were unable to reach me, which is not accurate. I have not received any calls or emails despite reaching out to Emily Armstrong multiple times. I even had to contact her after my drug test because of the lack of communication. I have emails to support my claims and would like to speak with HR to address this before losing the job opportunity I have been eagerly anticipating.

I brought my [redacted] Chevy Sonic to Sawyers Chevrolet in Dewitt, Michigan to address an oil leak from the valve cover. After the repair, the car was noticeably louder and started making a whistling/screeching noise. Upon checking, I discovered the oil was empty. Despite contacting Sawyers multiple times, they only addressed the issue after persistent follow-ups. After towing the car back, they claimed it was only down a quart of oil and denied hearing any unusual noises. The car, however, continued to make loud, strange noises, and the next morning, the engine and oil lights flashed. I am concerned they may have caused significant engine damage given the car only has 54,[redacted] miles. I have video evidence documenting the difference in engine sound before and after the service at Sawyers Chevrolet.

I recently repaired a damaged engine harness on my [redacted] Solstice GXP and installed a new ECM. However, after reinstallation, I noticed that the engine status light does not come on when turning the key to the on position. Typically, the dash lights briefly come on when turning the key, but now nothing happens after the harness repair. I'm wondering if my old ECU could be completely wiped.

I own a [redacted] GMC [redacted] Sierra diesel pickup. Recently, I brought it to the dealership for an alignment issue, and they have mentioned that the steering gear box needs replacement as they couldn't center the steering wheel, which is currently tilted to the left. With just 86,[redacted] miles on this vehicle that is exclusively used by my family and not for off-road or heavy-duty work like construction or farming, I am surprised at this steering gear box problem. The tires were also replaced with the same type that originally came with the truck when I bought it new from the dealership.

I recently visited Joseph Chevrolet to trade in my Nissan for a Chevrolet Sonic. I explained that I could only afford a monthly payment of $[redacted], but was surprised to find out the new payment on the Sonic is $[redacted]. As a widow living on Social Security and my late husband's GM retirement, this payment is too high. My husband worked at GM for over 30 years, but I don't see any discount applied to the bill for the Chevrolet Sonic priced at $23,[redacted]. I am concerned that I did not receive his discount.

I've been dealing with repeated check engine lights on my [redacted] Chevy Cruze. It feels like a never-ending cycle of fixing one issue and another one popping up. Over the past six months, I've replaced two thermostats and three engine coils, among other things. I've diligently kept up with all routine maintenance, but the problems persist. My [redacted] Chevy Volt, with 63,[redacted] miles, was running fine on battery until it depleted intentionally, then the gas engine kicked in with 55 miles of range left. I received a "Propulsion limited" message and managed to get home. However, after that, the Volt wouldn't start or charge. There was no green charge light, only an intermittent yellow light on the dashboard. I had to tow it to the dealer, where they mentioned that battery cell #2 had low voltage and I needed a new battery for $11,[redacted]. I've been a loyal customer of this dealership for all maintenance and repairs. Considering my positive experience with the Volt and the service, I kindly ask for a discount on the replacement battery.

I am experiencing issues with the collision avoidance system in my [redacted] Cadillac XT5, where it unexpectedly slams on the brakes. I scheduled a repair appointment at Bommarito Cadillac in St. Peters, Missouri. Upon arrival for my appointment, I was informed that my car would not be serviced until next Tuesday. When I suggested bringing it back on Monday, they mentioned I would lose my place in line if I did. The service representative did not have a loaner car and was unwilling to accommodate my request. I am disappointed with the service I have received and am considering switching to a different car brand like BMW.

I have a new [redacted] GM Volt and I'm interested in fitting a rear hitch bike carrier. Ecolift and other well-known hitch manufacturers offer products for the Volt. However, the owner's manual does not provide details on installing a rear hitch bike carrier, such as weight limits or capacity. I won't be using the hitch for towing, solely for carrying items like bikes, snowboards, skis, or camping gear. Any guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I own a [redacted] Chevrolet Silverado with VIN 3GCUKTEC5EG506135, which I bought new in [redacted]. Currently, it is at Lake Chevrolet in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for engine repairs. The vehicle has around 29,[redacted] miles and is equipped with the 5.3L V8 ECOTEC3 engine. On 12/21/[redacted], the service engine light came on, and I promptly took it to the dealership. The service advisor, Craig Pozarski, notified me that the No. 4 cylinder had low compression and they needed to investigate further. The estimated repair cost initially provided was between $3,[redacted] to $4,[redacted] but ended up at $5,[redacted] including an "Oil Box" replacement due to issues with the "Active Fuel Management" engine affecting the valve train. I believe this failure is due to a defective original part considering the vehicle is still under the 5-year/50,[redacted]-mile warranty, and all maintenance has been completed by Lake Chevrolet according to the manufacturer's recommendations. I also noticed a discrepancy in the amount of oil used in the last two changes compared to previous ones, which raises concerns.

The service adviser, Craig Pozarski, informed me that the number four cylinder had low compression and would require head removal for further investigation. The estimated repair costs ranged between $3,[redacted].00 to $4,[redacted].00 dollars but ended up being $5,[redacted].00 dollars. They mentioned replacing the "Oil Box" and identified the issue in the "valve train." I suspect the premature failure could be due to faulty parts considering the warranty. I've previously serviced the vehicle at Lake Chevrolet with oil changes at intervals of 2,[redacted] to 4,[redacted] miles. I raised concerns about the quantity of oil used during recent changes compared to the manual's recommendation of nine quarts, but the dealership insisted on using only eight quarts for the V8 engine.

I purchased a [redacted] Equinox back in July [redacted] when it had 56,[redacted] miles. Currently, it has just over 86,[redacted] miles. Recently, I noticed a loud noise coming from the transmission area and upon inspection at a transmission repair shop, I was informed about a cracked transfer case. I have learned that this is a common issue with the Equinox. I am seeking advice on whether there is any possibility of receiving assistance with the repair costs, even though the vehicle is out of warranty. Experiencing this problem with under [redacted],[redacted] miles is unexpected. I intend to report this to the NHSTA. Unfortunately, buying a new vehicle is not an option for me at present, and the cost of this repair is a significant burden. I purchased a new [redacted] Chevy Silverado 2500HD with VIN # 1GC2KVEG3HZ235389 back in [redacted] and it currently has 10,[redacted] miles. I am struggling to dim the back-up camera screen when the vehicle is in reverse at night.
