What are the requirements for obtaining a learner's permit?

Asked 6 months ago
To obtain a learner's permit in Oregon, you must meet certain requirements. Firstly, you must be at least 15 years old. You need to complete an approved driver education course that consists of at least 30 hours of classroom instruction and 12 hours of behind-the-wheel training. After completing the course, you will be issued a certificate. Then, you should visit your local DMV office with proof of identity, legal presence, and residency. You will need to pass a vision test and written knowledge test based on the Oregon Driver Manual. Additionally, you must provide your Social Security Number or a valid Individual Taxpayer Identification Number. Finally, pay the required fee, and you will receive your learner's permit, which allows you to practice driving under supervision.
