What is the academy's policy on discipline and behavior management?

Asked 6 months ago
At Children Of Integrity Montessori Academy, we believe in fostering a respectful and positive learning environment for all our students. Our policy on discipline and behavior management is centered around promoting self-discipline and autonomy. We follow the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori, encouraging children to make choices and learn from natural consequences. Our teachers guide and support the children in developing their self-control, empathy, and problem-solving skills. Positive reinforcement, clear expectations, and consistent boundaries are implemented throughout our classrooms. In the rare instances when redirection is necessary, it is done calmly and respectfully, ensuring the child's dignity is upheld. We prioritize open communication with parents, involving them in addressing any challenges to provide a holistic approach to behavior management that promotes responsibility, self-awareness, and respect.
